Marilyn C. Schroeder, 89, of Princeton, Indiana, formerly of Grayville, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at The Waters in Princeton, Indiana, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on December 27, 1934, in Wabash County, Illinois, the daughter of William "Chris" and Thelma (Axton) Allen. Marilyn married Max Theron Schroeder on June 5, 1955, at the Keensburg Christian Church, and they enjoyed sixty-five years of marriage until his passing on December 8, 2020.
Marilyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. Some of her fondest memories were spending time with her family, camping, and playing piano in area churches. For many years she accompanied the trio of The Schroeder Brothers. Marilyn's career started at Deck Hill Battery, which is where she met the love of her life. She worked at Houchins Drilling, Wabash General Hospital, and Ron Couch State Farm Insurance for many years. Her final job before ret
