Patricia Skelton, 82, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 23, 2024 at the Linda E. White Hospice House surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on September 27, 1941 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the daughter of Samuel and Gladys (Johnson) Hulsey. Pat married Homer Skelton on December 6, 1962 and together they enjoyed sixty-one years of marriage.
Pat will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Her greatest joy in life was raising her children and watching her grandchildren grow. Pat supported her family in all their activities and was their biggest fan. When Pat's family moved to Mount Carmel in the 1980's, she organized a swim team so her children could continue in the sport they loved. Among Pat's hobbies she enjoyed camping and boating with family and friends. Prior to Pat's greatest "job" in life as a mother, she worked at Salmon Oil Company and Gulf Oil Company in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Pat attended Parkview Christian Church whe
