Harold Wayne "Hoolie" Holloman, 85, of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025 at Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Carmel.
Wayne spent most of his younger years in Fredonia, Kentucky where he was born on June 22, 1939 to his late parents, Eugene and Gennie Louise Holloman. After high school, he served in the United States Army before later reenlisting in the United States Army Reserves during the Vietnam War. During his service, he was deployed to White Sands and Alaska before returning home. After his service, he was employed with Dowell as a Diesel Mechanic. After 25 years with Dowell between Mt. Carmel and Henderson, Kentucky, Wayne picked up part-time work at Rural King in Mt. Carmel. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Mt. Carmel and was known for his willingness to always help others. He was known in his neighborhood for always lending a helping hand and passionately decorating his house for the holidays. In his free time, he loved to mow,
